Malisha Kharwa ‘Princess From the Slum’ became a social media sensation overnight, praised and adopted by Robert Haffman



She is only 13 years old and is called the 'Slum Princess of Mumbai'. She speaks fluent English and is adopted by famous Hollywood actor Robert Hoffman. This innocent and beautiful little Instagram star, possesses all the qualities of becoming the best model within herself. Yes, we are talking about Malisha Kharwa, a slum-dweller living in Bandra, on the seashore of Mumbai.

Malisha wants to become a supermodel

About 8 years ago, Malisha's father moved from Gujarat to Mumbai with his family. Currently, Malisha studies in a government school near her colony and speaks fluent English. People around her are shocked to hear her English. There is so much attraction in Malisha's face that even Hollywood actor Robert Hoffman could not live without being impressed by her and did a few photoshoots with Malisha, in which she seems no less than a lil professional model. Currently, Malisha wants to become a popular supermodel.

Hollywood movie 'Stepup 2: The Streets' actor Robert Hoffman visited India in February last year to shoot a music video. But due to the lockdown in Covid Pandemic and because all the borders were sealed, they could not go back.

Hoffman has created an Instagram account titled 'Princess from the Slum' of Malisha

While coming to India, Hoffman met 13-year-old Malisha living in a slum in Bandra, Mumbai. Actually, he came to Mumbai for the shooting of one of his Little Pat projects in Mumbai. At the same time, he not only created an Instagram page of Malisha's beautiful and innocent face but also named her as 'Princess from the Slum'. This page is handled by Hoffman himself

Hoffman has also created a funding link to fulfill Malisha's dreams with the name of  #Go Fund Me

On the one hand, Hoffman learns Hindi from this little slum model, he has also created a funding link called ‘ #Go Fund Me’ with the aim of raising at least 15 lakh INR to fulfill Malisha's dream of becoming a model. So that people can financially help Malisha in fulfilling her dream. As well as she can make her place in the entertainment industry and her modeling career can also be secured.

On learning Hindi from this cute underprivileged girl Malisha and seeing her beloved smile, considering himself as her fortunate father, Hoffman today calls her as  his adopted daughter.

Not only this, some time ago a famous fashion magazine ‘PEACOCK’ also showed Malisha Kharwa as a model on her cover page. Which she considers to be the biggest turning point of her life.




But, There is also a sad aspect of Malisha's life

There is another aspect of the 13-year-old Instagram underprivileged star's life. In which her family faces the compulsion to get one-time meals. On the #Go Me Fund page, Malisha refers to herself as a 'Slum Princess' - "People say that now that I have an identity in society, I still like to live in this slum, but My family lives here and I like to live with them. If luck and hard work support me and grow up to become a model, I will definitely get my family out of this sad life." One can also see the sad conditions of his house located in the slums.This is really admirable that a Hollywood celebrity elevates the life of a little girl hails from slums, while we Indians never dare to take such a step.
